Try finding something that sprays the scent of lavender. Or perhaps a lavender candle. I hear that lavender soothes very well.

I knew in advance that homeopathic remedies have no basis in science. But our old dog keeps getting more and more anxious despite the meds he’s on. So I decided to give it a try anyway. And I really wanted this stuff to work (our dog just seems so miserable sometimes). And, you know what, we thought we did observe something at first. He would seem to get calmer after a dosage. But then after a few days we kept looking (and hoping) to see some gradual change for the better. Occasionally we would talk ourselves into thinking he was just a bit better. But after several days, it’s become apparent that this stuff isn’t doing him any good at all. I suspect the early response we saw was just a result of distracting him from his anxiety by forcing this stuff in his mouth (by the way, he hates it). We’re going to keep with it until we use up the bottle (why not?), but I’m not expecting to see anything based on what I’ve seen so far. It just confirms my more reasoned expectations: “alternative” medicines are alternative because they really don’t work.

best herb ive came across would have to be cannabis!! May be illigal according to the federal government, but 14 states have passed state medical laws!!

I don’t know about herbs. But I suffer from depression and anxiety. I am on lexapro but sometimes I still feel depressed. Make sure you eat right and get outside as much as possible. I have been walking in the evenings. The combination of sunlight and exercise is great for depression and stress. Even if you don’t feel like it get, make yourself exercise a little. Hope this helps. I know how it feels I batle it all the time.

Yup, cut out any and all processed foods from your diet and plant some rosemary and Lavender around your house. Use those plants to make a scented oliver oil and take a soothing bubble bath with it. Also, try getting at least 20 mins. of exercise a day. The endorphins from working out will counteract the depression.
Hope you start feeling better,
Damon

There’s no herbal magic happy pill (you’ve got to go to doctors for those), but it’s a proven fact that excercise increases one’s mood and outlook on life. I know it may be difficult, but if you can just force yourself to go out walking, your mood will improve a lot! Spring is in the air! Also, yoga is fantastic! For about 13.00 dollars at Walmart, you can get a beginners DVD, with 10 minute workouts geared specifically toward de-stressing…

Another thing you can try is an energy therapy that works great for stress and depression called Emotional Freedom Techniques, or EFT. It is similar to acupuncture, but instead of using needles, you use your fingertips to tap on points on your head and torso. It corrects the energy disruptions that can cause stress and depression, and makes you feel better. People who use it have seen fantastic results. I use it all the time, and it’s made an amazing difference for me. It sounds kind of strange that tapping on yourself can help, but it really does work.

weed is illegal, but it is a herb, and it helps a whole lot with stress.

That really isn’t much info to go on. There are different possible causes, with clues being other things that are going on.
If you just seem depressed and stressed and otherwise fine, then try SAMe in the morning 200mg, then 500mg milk thistle at night before bed.
If you have a hard time with fatigue and memory, you may need adrenal support with Adrenal Cortex glandular. You can find info about it at http://www.iherb.com Search for Adrenal Cortex
If you are female and having menstrual irregularity along with PMS symptoms, bloating, and other symptoms, then you may need to address hormones to address the stress and depression. Take a look at symptoms and info here: http://www.johnleemd.com/store/estrogen_dom.html
Unlike allopathic care, natural medicines treat the whole person and remedies are often dependent on what seems to you to be seemingly unrelated symptoms.
Hope you get some direction from the answers here.
