Hi,

well I am for sure convinced that our diet plays a major, if not the only role, in mental disorders.

We produce our body chemistry from what we eat…garbage in, garbage out…

Since our body are immensely complex and everybody is different, it is not always easy to see the link… (some can eat garbage all their life and die of something “normal”, others are more like a canary in the mine)…

About 100 years ago some “Schizophrenia” cases were often correctly diagnosed as Pellagra (there is more than one Schizophrenia). Today most doctors have to look up what pellagra is, not to mention how to treat it …about 100-150 years ago psychiatrists had a success=healing rate of about 50 % by nutrition and nurture alone, today they are down to about 15 % (relying only on drugs).

This topic is really interesting, I love it and have my own, personal experiences with Alternative (Mental) Health…

Since our brains are the most complex organs on earth. the brain chemistry -methylization – can go awry pretty easily, especially if key nutrients like zinc (deficient in most people, even compared to the pretty low RDA) are missing…

with Diesel instead of gas your car won’t go far, either…but nonetheless most people are more concerned about their cars than their brains…

Some examples about missing or poisoning foods…?

It is shown that niacin, also known as vitamin B3, cures most cases of Schizophrenia. This is not very known, but Dr Abram Hoffer and others have done lots of research on that. There is much more to the story, just making it short here
(see http://www.mind-healing.org/advancedorthomolecularresearch.html )

Also removing gluten from my diet made a difference like day and night for me. Gluten has a devastating effect on my moods and outlook in life, not to speak about my eye-hand coordination…

Lactose intolerance was not that devastating for me, and I was able to release my reaction to it with Emotional Freedom Technique.

I avoid “diet” products with Aspartame under any circumstances, since they make me dizzy and depressed.

It is shown again and again that Omega-3 not only has good effects on our hearts, but also on our minds (actually Hippocrates already said that)…Omega-3 in high doses relieves depression and in higher doses even heals or at least improves Alzheimer s Disease.

Vitamin B,C,D and E play a major role in our (mental) health…For more information, you should check out Dr Saul’s website doctoryourself.com.

what do you think?

To your best

Daniel

Question by Tanya: My wisdom teeth are impacted and my mandible is exposed…?
Four wisdom teeth that don’t come together because my jaw seems too small for them to grow in completely… I have had these for ten years and am slowly going crazy in pain. I started smoking pot to deal with physical expeses tof taking pain relief everday. My problem is now underlying stress and anxiety symptoms. Really, HELP! What needs to be done? Can I cover my jaw bone after? I really don’t like the idea of having a bone exposed to the air and mouth polution because I know it’s not natural. They forced their way in there nine years ago after coming in almost upside down they were so crooked.

Best answer:

Answer by Helen DDS
Get them taken out. Once they are out, the socket will fill with a blood clot. The clot acts as a bandaid to cover the bone until the skin grows back over it. (in rare-ish cases, a “dry socket” happens… then the bone is exposed until the skin grows back over it , usually by about day 10) The blood clot contains elements that allows the bone and gum to heal properly. Our bodies are amazing things and can fix most problems we throw at it.

Go to Target and look for their collection of CD’s by Lifescapes. I have a pretty good collection of them. The one I recommend is Pure Relaxation, if they have it. When you go in, you should hear it playing near the greeting cards section.

Oh if they don’t have what you are looking for, you can order them online. I will provide the link for you. Hope this helps you :)

Question by EasyMorningRebel: Could I apply for medicinal marijuana?
Hi, Ive been really curious lately if I’d be able to apply for medicinal marijuana. I have, what I feel like is, severe anxiety, there is not a day where I dont have anxiety, some days are just worse than others. I have tried other medications such as anti-deppressants like Prozac and benzodiazepines such as Klonopin, and Xanax, and none of them seemed to work. Of course xanax would relieve syptoms, but after taking Xanax for awhile, I would become sorta manic, staying up late not being able to sleep, obsessing. It also messed with my memory pretty bad. So Im looking for something more natural, relief without all the side affects or possibilty of death. Im am so very tired of pills. I’ve been doing some research and from what I see with medical marijuana I can get the same amount of relief as say taking some pill, without all the un-needed side affects and that there are specific strains for relieving anxiety, so its starting to sound like a good idea. Also because of the anxiety, my stomach always feels sick, so then I never want to eat even when Im starving and because of this Im a little underweight. I also have migraines at least 3-4 days of the week. Also another thing, at random moments I’ll have twitches or shakes in random parts of my body (alot of the time its in the muscles of the face), or sometimes its like tremors, I dont know how to explain it very well but its like when your really cold and shaking (Its kind of a embarrassing thing when your trying to hang out with friends and your bodys shaking) So are there specific marijuana strains to help certain things like these?
